What football drills build teamwork? I think the best American football drills for building teamwork are the ones where we have to talk and move together as a unit. In my experience, offensive line coordination drills make us work as one block because if one person messes up, the whole play fails.
I also love tackling circuits where we pair up and trust each other to hit hard but safe, which builds confidence and brotherhood. Another favorite is the “blindfolded obstacle course” drill, where one player guides a blindfolded teammate through cones using only their voice, teaching us to listen and communicate clearly.
What makes this personal for me is our team’s “brick story” tradition, where each player writes a personal challenge on a brick and shares it before practice, so we understand each other’s struggles and fight harder together. These drills show me that winning in American football is about trusting your teammates and working together, not just being the strongest or fastest player
